Deleo to exhibit at ACE London 2022

March 2, 2022 by CarlFrascina

This month, European design and manufacturing leading company, Deleo, are heading to the Business Design Centre in London to exhibit at one of the biggest events in the aesthetics industry – ACE.

Through a two-day clinical education programme, ACE assists healthcare professionals in broadening their understanding of products and practices.

This large-scale event is set to have over 80 exhibitors present products and services to more than 2,500 practitioners, assisting them in running a successful clinic.

Delegates can learn, network, share expertise, and stay up to date on the newest innovations and clinical breakthroughs in medical aesthetics by attending ACE. All of the educational events are free to attend, CPD accredited, and hosted by top medical aesthetic providers. Each year, the world’s top KOLs take the stage, providing attendees with world-class education right in the heart of London.

Andre Fournier, Co-Founder of Deleo says:

“We are very much looking forward to attending ACE for the first time since the pandemic and seeing the whole industry come together once again for this fantastic two-day event.  This event is really important to us here at Deleo, as it officially introduces Deleo and it’s body layering concept to the UK market.”

Deleo’s Cristal body layering idea was designed with the practitioner and customer in mind, having three basic roles to aid volume, tonicity, and firmness.

“At Deleo, we pride ourselves on creating creative solutions to address the needs of practitioners and end-consumers,” says Andre Fournier, Co-Founder.

“Many other manufacturers have one or two methods for treating individuals for body contouring, such as cryolipolysis, radio frequency, or electromagnetic stimulation; however, they rarely use a combination of these technologies in tandem to maximise patient outcomes.

We recognised there was an opportunity to design a cutting-edge three-step concept that could do all three duties while ensuring safety and efficacy.

We are happy with the fantastic results that our Cristal treatments achieve, and we have had great testimonies over the years,” Andre comments. “The results of patients who submitted before and after photos are amazing. Aside from the fact that it is non-invasive, it is easy to see why it is so popular and we just can’t wait to showcase this concept at ACE.”

As well as being able to present products, the event provides a fantastic environment to network, meet with clients and potential customers since lockdown, especially for those companies travelling from overseas.

“Whilst we have some truly fantastic trade shows to attend in France and Internationally this year, it’s especially exciting to have a chance to travel across the pond and meet with industry specialists over in the UK. I think ACE will provide us with a great opportunity to network and touch base with existing customers who we are very excited to meet.”

Deleo presently has eighteen devices in clinics across the country; current users of the Cristal body layering device include Dr Dev Patel, Dr Rita Rakus, Dr Dray, and Miss CC Kat, to mention a few.

Visit www.deleo.co.uk to view the full portfolio of devices available.

Counting down to the big aesthetics reunion at CCR

September 1, 2021 by CarlFrascina

CCR provides the central hub for exhibitors and organisations of both the surgical and non-surgical disciplines. This year, CCR is proud to be the first large scale exhibition to be reopening its doors and reuniting a booming industry which is set to bounce back quickly.  This year, the conference hosts the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group (BCDG) and Aesthetic Complications Expert (ACE) Group World. In a unique one-off, annual event, these organisations and others, come together to share information with the aesthetics community and inform and address thousands of visitors over the two-day show.

This year CCR’s Surgical Arena will incorporate the ISAPS Symposium UK, which will bring to life a surgical agenda, presenting cutting edge, innovative surgical procedures focusing on breast and body. The Symposium will be open to all plastic surgeons for whom a dedicated networking lounge will be available where exhibitors can also access and meet with the delegates. This new addition to the UK’s leading medical aesthetics event will unite the UK’s aesthetic plastic surgeons under one roof, integrating surgical education and networking into CCR to enable true cross-fertilisation of knowledge between surgical and non-surgical practitioners.

The programme, which will be curated by Naveen Cavale, ISAPS National Secretary and Mo Akhavani, ISAPS Assistant National Secretary will involve presentations by both international and local speakers. Cavale and Akhavani will also be curating the content for the Face and Eyes section of the CCR Surgical Arena alongside the CCR conference team.

Back to school

As always, this year’s show will incorporate an unparalleled and comprehensive education programme, all of which is CPD accredited.  October’s education highlights include a one-day videoed cadaver training course with industry guru Dr Tapan Patel of London’s renowned PHI Clinic. Dr Tapan says: “I’m so proud to be returning to CCR this year to carry out a full-day cadaver course during which I will be demonstrating a range of educational techniques utilising a cadaver. Attending the course is a fantastic way to really study how to best treat your patients; the correct placement of filler and how and why complications might occur (and how to avoid them!) I’m so excited to share my experiences with my peers and to talk about how I administer treatment to achieve beautiful, natural-looking results.” There is an additional cost for this highly sought-after conference, but there are a large number of conferences that will be free-to-attend.

Also, look out for the much-anticipated clinic management focus this year, which will provide some much-needed advice to help get aesthetic businesses back on track during the busy months that lie ahead. Shannon Kilgariff, who is co-ordinating CCR’s In Practice business conference comments: “After such a hard year for everyone within the industry we want to offer as much advice as possible from as many viewpoints as possible to our delegates to make sure that they feel that they are well-armed to take on a post-Covid world. ‘In Practice’ will cover everything from booking systems to social media platforms – we know that there will be something in there for everyone.”

New Partnerships

Furthermore, ISAPS will be producing 2 full mornings of surgical content which will be open to all surgeons and Healthcare Professionals. CCR is proud that along with the above revered organisations, the BCDG will also have a presence at the event.

CCR is absolutely thrilled that Swiss pharmaceutical brand Galderma will be headlining as a sponsor and will come armed to the conference with some exciting news of their own. Galderma is the world’s largest independent dermatology company, present in approximately 100 countries. Their innovative, science-based portfolio – of sophisticated brands and services across aesthetics, consumer care and prescription medicine – makes them an ideal partner for the conference and their news is awaited with great anticipation. The brand will be celebrating 25 years of Restylane, as well as bringing Sculptra under the Galderma umbrella.

Of their involvement in the event, Joanna Neal, Galderma’s brand manager comments: “We are thrilled to be headlining at CCR 2021.  For us, this year’s CCR is a must-attend event, and we always look forward to hearing about the latest developments within the industry. Our brand is ever-evolving, and we are so excited to be sharing our news to all of the CCR attendees – we’ve missed attending events such as these and can’t wait to be face to face with old friends and colleagues once again!”

Hot Off the Press!

CCR welcomes back Press Ambassador Francesca White, Tatler Beauty Editor At Large and Editor of the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide, and NEW for this year, Francesca will take on an additional role as Master of Ceremonies and compere for the first ever CCR Aesthetics Press Conference. On her role, Francesca comments: “I am thrilled to have been invited to be this year’s CCR press ambassador once again. It’s truly an honour and a privilege to be involved in THE show for both the surgical and non-surgical disciplines and to work with the most eminent practitioners in their fields. The new press conference element that I will be chairing for this year is hugely exciting and will provide the first and only press-specific closed event to obtain news of all the pioneering and most cutting-edge research, launches and advancements in the aesthetics market. I expect it to be a hot ticket for 2021 and the subsequent years!”

Courtney Baldwin, Event Manager CCR & Aesthetics:

“We are honoured to welcome so many distinguished brands and prominent industry bodies to CCR this year. The event has always brought the entire medical aesthetics community together and 2021 is no exception. Our conference will be the first educational meeting this year to unite all specialties, and we can’t wait!”

Cambridge Stratum hails AM Live a ‘most productive show’

July 23, 2021 by Laura Casewell

John Culbert of Cambridge Stratum has hailed the latest Aesthetic Medicine Live exhibition ‘the most productive show’ after showcasing a new portfolio of devices.

Showcasing a range of platforms including lasers such as the Pico300 and the Spectra Vein, John said the 2 day event attracted visitors seriously interested in investing in quality aesthetic devices.

“We were pleasantly surprised how productive the first show coming out of the pandemic has been. We were concerned that Covid may have overshadowed it but we were busy from virtually the minute the show opened.

“Importantly, the people who attended had a serious interest in the products on show and many had imminent purchasing intentions. The initial impression is that this was the most productive show we have exhibited at.”

According to John it was obvious within minutes of the announcement that “AM Live 2021 is now open” that there is a pent up demand from clinic owners for the latest technology but at affordable prices.

“The first morning of the show was virtually non-stop and most of the people attending were there for a business; with the intention of finding the product that would give them that vital edge over the competition. What that constituted varied from person to person and the interest was spread across the full product range on offer.”

Cambridge Stratum was pleased to be able to exhibit some excellent showstoppers.

John says: “The Pico300 and 500 range of picosecond lasers at mainstream prices. However, the Nano 3 – a 3.5ns active Q switch laser – also attracted a lot of attention.”

The combination of skin tightening and skin resurfacing has been in the news lately leading to a lot of interest in combination treatments that includes the Stratum 1550: a non-ablative 1550nm scanning laser for skin resurfacing and the SkinTyte III our latest 3 D Hi-Fu machine to tighten the skin.

John says: “The combination of these two treatments produces excellent results 100% non-invasively and with zero downtime. In order to further promote this hot combination we were pleased to include the show offer of a £5000+ vat discount from the normal price ( £19,500 + £12,500 both plus vat so normally £32,000 + vat  – special offer £27,000 + vat ). Again both machines are offered with our market leading 3 year warranty as standard.”

Cambridge Stratum evolved from the founders’ need to source a broad range of aesthetic and medical equipment for their own use, that is world class in performance, with uncompromising build quality and safety.

All of the equipment offered through Cambridge Stratum has been evaluated and is in daily use in the associated company – Cosmex Clinic – run by award-winning nurse Louise Sommereux.

All equipment supplied is either CE or Medical CE approved as appropriate and all products have been verified as suitable for the UK.

CCR 2021 launches Surgical Arena featuring ISAPS Symposium UK

April 27, 2021 by Laura Casewell

Following three years of the ISAPS Symposium UK being hosted in London by Easyfairs, organisers of CCR, the international meeting of the world’s leading aesthetic plastic surgeons will be housed for the first time at CCR on 14 & 15 October 2021 at the ExCeL, London.

This new addition to the UK’s leading medical aesthetics event will unite the UK’s aesthetic plastic surgeons under one roof, integrating surgical education and networking into CCR.

The addition of this world-class programme will add further value to the 250+ surgeons who attend CCR each year to network and attend the non-surgical talks.

With a focus on breast and body, the ISAPS Symposium UK will feature an internationally renowned faculty from across the globe, putting CCR and the ISAPS Symposium UK on the world stage.

Naveen Cavale, ISAPS UK National Secretary, commented: “It’s great to be working with CCR for the fourth year running and we’re thrilled to be able to host the ISAPS meeting at the event this year. The ISAPS Symposium provides expert education for plastic surgeons each year and, because CCR provides such an open forum for medical aesthetic professionals, all surgeons involved in the aesthetics sector will be able to join the ISAPS meeting, giving them the opportunity to be educated by and learn best-practice from the best of the best.

“The ISAPS presence the in UK has grown exponentially over the past few years and this enriched partnership represents further expansion of the phenomenal growth that ISAPS has seen in the UK. Adding to this, there will also be an opportunity for aesthetic plastic surgeons to sign up for ISAPS membership at CCR at a reduced rate, as part of their delegate fee.”

Mo Akhavani, ISAPS UK Assistant Secretary, added: “The excellent thing about being alongside CCR is that any medical professional in the aesthetic sector, whether surgical or non-surgical, can mingle and network with the world’s best plastic surgeons. This not only strengthens the partnership between ISAPS and CCR, but it also enhances the reputation of ISAPS education and closes the gap between surgical and non-surgical specialties, which will in turn help to provide a safer and more regulated industry.”

In addition to the opportunity to learn from the most highly regarded aesthetic plastic surgeons in the world, attendees of the ISAPS Symposium UK at CCR will be able to discover the very latest surgical equipment and solutions at the accompanying exhibition, to ensure their clinics are kitted out to the highest and most up-to-date spec.

With a focus on a holistic approach to aesthetic medicine, surgeons will also have access to the full agenda of free-of-charge non-surgical education at CCR and the opportunity to meet with the leading suppliers of non-surgical products and practice management solutions.

Francesca White, Tatler’s Health and Beauty Editor-at-Large, will once again be press ambassador for CCR and will use the opportunity to speak to the surgeons featured in the 2020 Tatler Cosmetic Surgery Guide. Francesca will be interviewing key opinion leaders and exhibitors during the event, as well as reporting on the latest news in the aesthetics industry.

CCR and the ISAPS Symposium UK 2021 will deliver the best of the best in content, demonstrations, new treatments and education for all medical aesthetic professionals on 14 and 15 October 2021 at ExCeL, London.

ACE postponed further to March 2022

February 6, 2021 by Laura Casewell

ACE, the Aesthetics Conference and Exhibition, has been postponed from May 2021 to 11 & 12 March 2022 in a difficult decision made in consultation with the aesthetics community due to the continuing circumstances surrounding the pandemic.

Easyfairs, the organisers of the live event that attracts over 2,000 medical aesthetic professionals to meet, learn and do business are saddened to once again be postponing the event but are doing so in support of the aesthetics community, many of whom have temporarily returned to the NHS to support on wards or assist in the rollout of the vaccine, which has so far been administered to an incredible +10 million people.

In celebration of the industry’s amazing achievements, the Aesthetics Awards will still take place in May 2021 but will now be held as a virtual ceremony on Friday 28 May 2021. The Awards will give the medical aesthetics community the opportunity to recognise the remarkable achievements of clinics, individuals, teams and product manufacturers.

ACE is a two-day exhibition and conference for the medical aesthetics industry. Industry leaders and medical experts will meet for valuable education, network and gain new business at the Business Design Centre in London on 11 & 12 March 2022.

British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) launches wellbeing initiative

January 30, 2021 by Laura Casewell

The British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) has enlisted the help of the world’s first mindfulness policy institute to launch its 20th ANNIVERSARY MINDFULNESS AND WELLBEING INITIATIVE, offering support and advice to members during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

BCAM President Dr Uliana Gout said: “BCAM led the way in 2020 with its ‘fact not opinion’ guidance for members about opening clinics and treating patients, and now we’re taking the lead again with this new wellbeing initiative in the College’s 20th anniversary year.

“We’re delighted to be working with the world’s foremost organisation, The Mindfulness Initiative, that advises global legislators on how to incorporate mindfulness in public policy. We are spearheading the aesthetic medicine sector with the BCAM 20th Anniversary Mindfulness and Wellbeing Initiative and are committed to providing the best support to members, both with practical business advice and holistic guidance that is so pertinent at this time.”

The Mindfulness Initiative is an independent think tank and clerk to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Mindfulness. Its Deputy Director Ruth Ormston will deliver a members-only session for BCAM next month, exploring the benefits of mindfulness and offering tips on incorporating it into the day to improve health and mental wellbeing. Ruth will also lead a short mindfulness practice for members so they can experience it first-hand.

BCAM plans to cover a wide range of wellbeing issues with the BCAM 20th Anniversary Mindfulness and Wellbeing Initiative. As well as live Zoom sessions and videos uploaded to the members area of the BCAM website, the College will signpost useful resources and share tips from fellow members. Many of these resources have been provided free of charge by The Mindfulness Initiative, including specific help for people staying home during lockdown.

BCAM trustee Dr Bhavjit Kaur is leading on the new initiative on behalf of the College and hopes it will offer support, guidance and comfort to members who are facing challenges during the pandemic.

She said: “It’s been a tough time for everyone since the first lockdown last March. Many of our members have returned to the NHS frontline or are facing issues with their businesses or personal lives.

“BCAM recognises the need to support members in many different ways and I am passionate about wellbeing and mindfulness so I wanted to provide some practical help that members can easily access.

“As healthcare professionals, we always want to understand the science behind everything so being able to offer members a session with the world’s leading mindfulness organisation will provide a fantastic springboard for members to further explore for themselves.”

The mindfulness session for BCAM members will be delivered by Zoom on Friday 5 March. For more information about joining BCAM, please email Helen.Calkin@BCAM.ac.uk

Easyfairs postpones CCR to 2021

September 7, 2020 by Laura Casewell

Easyfairs has announced that its CCR 2020 event, which was due to take place on 1 & 2 October at ExCeL London, is being postponed to 14 & 15 October 2021 and reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the industry has this valuable opportunity to gather and reignite business opportunities as the world emerges from the Coronavirus pandemic.

Alison Willis, Divisional Director of Easyfairs’ Aesthetics portfolio, explains regarding the postponement:

“The international outbreak and spread of COVID-19 has had a huge impact on everyone’s lives and specifically in the exhibitions industry on the ability to bring people together and run live events. A large number of events due to run this year have been cancelled or postponed to later dates. At Easyfairs, we have been closely following and monitoring the evolution of the situation, specifically taking into account all advice and recommendations from the World Health Organisation as well as from local governments and were very much expecting that the world would be open for business in order that the Autumn 2020 edition of CCR would be able to go ahead especially after the green light had been given by the UK Government to run events back in July”.

“However, as the situation continues to evolve, we have been in close consultation with the aesthetics community and all stakeholders in the event regarding their concerns around bringing the entire community together face to face at this time. Taking into account the global situation, the social distancing restrictions currently being imposed on live events and the requirements of our exhibitors, we are led to the extremely difficult decision to have to postpone this year’s edition to 2021”.

“During this difficult and unprecedented time, I have been overwhelmed by the support that we have from the community for the event and its critical role in bringing the industry together. We know that CCR and its sister event ACE (that takes place in March 2021), will both play a vital part in the economic recovery and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the aesthetics community to steer the industry out of the crisis and to a strong future. I would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone for their unwavering support and understanding and express our ongoing commitment to the incredible businesses in this sector.”

BioActiveAesthetics hosts VIP micro needling event.

October 24, 2019 by CarlFrascina

London event showcased the SkinPen Precision device to press, medical & aesthetic clinicians.

BioActiveAesthetics, the UK distributors of the award winning, medical-grade micro needling device, SkinPen Precision, held a VIP event in London. The event was for leading medical and aesthetic professionals as well as launching SkinPen to the consumer press and national media.

Held on 3rd October at The Allbright Club in Mayfair, London, the successful evening included two events with guest speakers and live demonstrations.

The events were designed to showcase the medical and aesthetic benefits of SkinPen – a handheld micro needling device for use with skin rejuvenation, scar reduction, collagen reproduction, burns and melasma.

The first event of the day was a consumer press launch attended by 30 top names in beauty and lifestyle journalism.

Press from publications such as Vogue & The Daily Mail online were in attendance, as well as influencers such as TV beauty expert Nadine Baggott and author Alice Hart-Davis.

Hosted by celebrity aesthetics practitioner, Nilam Holmes, founder of DermaSpa and Eyebrow Queen, guests were given a full showcase of the benefits SkinPen can offer patients including case studies from SkinPens KOLs (Key Opinions Leaders) that have benefited from micro-needling.

Key speakers at the events included Dr Thomas Hitchcock, chief science officer at Crown Laboratories, Dr Maryam Zamani (Plastic Surgeon and Aesthetic Doctor) Dr Andy Williams (Burns Surgeon from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital) and Dr Benji Dhillon, (Founder/Medical Director at DEFINE Clinic).

The prospect evening, held after the press event, welcomed KOLs with 50 medical field experts, cosmetic doctors, plastic surgeons and aesthetic practitioners.

There was a live SkinPen demonstration with Jane Williams, from BioActiveAesthetics, and an insight into some fantastic success stories with regards to treating scars, burns and skin rejuvenation with microneedling.

Burns surgeon, Dr Andy Williams, talked delegates through the benefits of SkinPen when treating burns patients. With four SkinPen’s in NHS hospitals, including Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, he explained how treating burns patients with SkinPen has transformed lives.

Kathy Taylor-Brewin, managing director of BioActiveAesthetics, distributors of SkinPen in the UK, said following the event:

“We were delighted with the turnout and the high level of interest into the SkinPen Precision micro needling device. It’s great that the press is interested in not only the SkinPen device itself but also the safety elements of the potential cross-contamination within micro needling treatments and how SkinPen protects against that issue.

“We are looking forward to the future, where SkinPen will continue to be seen as the number one micro needling device in the US and UK while maintaining the gold-standard for product innovation and ISO quality assurance.”

Guests were treated to champagne and canapés as part of the events, leaving with an exclusive SkinPen goody bag.
