PicoSure, a 532 nm laser delivery system for tattoo removal by Cynosure, has been cleared by the FDA. PicoSure is the world’s first picosecond laser, and offers removal of tattoos of all colours in fewer treatments, as well as skin rejuvenation.
Michael Davin, Chairman and CRO of Cynosure, said:
“The new 523 nm Laser Delivery system further builds on the clinical and commercial success of the 755 nm PicoSure for the removal of tattoos and benign pigmented lesions as well as the treatment of acne scars and wrinkles. We are pleased to offer this system as an upgrade to our current PicoSure customer base.”
PicoSure will be presented at the American Academy of Dermatology’s 2015 Annual Meeting, which will take place March 20-24 in San Francisco. Initial shipments of the product are expected to be available by summer 2015.
