‘On the sofa’ with RegenLab’s Dr. Yuliya Dyedyk-Gusarova

Swiss biotech company RegenLab has been at the forefront of regenerative medicine innovation for over two decades. Founded in 2003, the company has established itself as a global leader in developing cutting-edge medical devices and solutions that harness the body’s natural healing mechanisms.

RegenLab specialise in platelet-rich plasma (PRP) technology and cell therapy solutions. These technologies have revolutionised treatments across multiple medical fields, from orthopedics and sports medicine to aesthetics and wound healing.

As regenerative medicine continues to evolve, RegenLab remains committed to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. In our upcoming interview with one of their key opinion leaders, we’ll explore the company’s vision for the future of healthcare and how their innovations are shaping the next generation of medical treatments.

Here, we chat to Dr. Yuliya Dyedyk-Gusarova, a key opinion leader for the brand, on all things PRP and what’s next for her:

Dr Julietta, tell us about yourself?

My name is Dr. Yuliya Dyedyk-Gusarova I am a maxillofacial surgeon, international Key Opinion Leader and trainer for several leading aesthetic brands both in the UK and internationally. I’m also the CEO and Clinical Director of Dr. J Clinic, a science-led aesthetic clinic based in central London.

I founded the clinic several years ago with the mission to deliver safe, evidence-based, and natural-looking results through advanced aesthetic and regenerative treatments.

Tell us about your medical background?

My medical career began in maxillofacial surgery, which provided me with a deep and structured understanding of complex facial anatomy — an essential foundation for safe and effective aesthetic practice.

Over time, my professional interests shifted toward aesthetic and regenerative medicine, where I found the perfect balance between science, precision, and artistry. I now combine clinical practice with training and lecturing, both nationally and internationally, helping other practitioners elevate their techniques and safety standards in aesthetic medicine.

Do you have any areas of specialty?

My core specialities include advanced facial injectables, regenerative skin therapies, and complication management. I’m particularly known for my work in PRP, dermal fillers, and lip harmonisation — combining aesthetic artistry with anatomical precision.

What kind of patients do you see most?

Most of my patients are women and men seeking subtle, natural-looking enhancements — professionals who value safety, results, and long-term skin health. I also see many patients referred by other practitioners for complication corrections or more advanced procedures.

Why did you decide to use PRP?

PRP aligns beautifully with my philosophy of regenerative, patient-centred care. It uses the body’s own healing mechanisms to stimulate collagen, improve skin quality, and support hair restoration without foreign substances. It’s one of the most versatile and biologically elegant treatments we offer.

Have you seen many patients’ lives changed through these treatments?

Absolutely. Especially with PRP — I’ve seen patients regain confidence after years of struggling with hair loss, acne scarring, or dull, ageing skin. The emotional impact of feeling better in your skin shouldn’t be underestimated. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness those transformations.

Why did you choose to work with RegenLab?

RegenLab offers the highest standard of PRP systems on the market, with strong clinical backing and Swiss precision. I’ve tested several alternatives, but RegenLab consistently delivers the safest, most consistent results — both for my patients and in training environments. Quality and reliability are non-negotiable in my practice.

Do you love your job – why?

I truly love what I do. Every patient is a unique canvas, and the work is a blend of science, art, and trust. Helping people feel confident in their skin while educating both patients and practitioners is a privilege I don’t take lightly.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

When I’m not working, I enjoy travelling, discovering art and architecture, and spending time with loved ones. I also love staying connected to medical research — not surprisingly, some of my “free time” still includes reading clinical studies!

What’s next for you and the clinic?

We’re expanding our educational programmes and planning collaborations with global leaders in aesthetic medicine. I’m also developing more structured complication management protocols and hope to publish more in that area. The goal is to keep raising the bar — clinically, ethically, and aesthetically.

Anything you would like to add?

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of this evolving field, and proud to work with partners like RegenLab who support science-driven innovation in aesthetics.
