A recent study published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal has found that performing mastopexy together with breast augmentation in the same procedure is safe and effective.
The study found that complications an
d necessity of revision surgery were the same as when the procedures were performed separately, effectively making a single procedure more efficient.
Plastic surgeon Mr. Chasan discusses the benefits of having augmentation done at the same time as a breast lift.
“Sometimes breast augmentation is desired along with a breast lift to give the breasts a fuller, better look,” said Dr. Chasan.
“Performing the augmentation at the same time as the lift saves the patient a second surgery, and gives them their preferred look more quickly.”
