Sterex announce the re-launch of BioSkinJetting

January 28, 2016 by CarlFrascina

Sterex has announced the re-launch of wrinkle-reduction treatment BioSkinJetting.

“The time has come to re-introduce these amazing treatments to the Industry,” said Laurie Cartmell, Sterex MD.

“Originally launched in 2003 the world was simply not ready for BioSkinJetting. This time around, treatments based on subscision are accepted and embraced. BioSkinJetting is built upon the same principle as derma rolling and stamping but back then we were simply before our time. This time there will be no stopping us.”

BioSkinJetting is a natural treatment for winkles and is perfect for many small skin imperfections in the skin. Used in combination with the radio frequency, BioSkinSmoothing machine both atrophic and hypertrophic wrinkles scars and imperfections can be treated.

sterex fbImmediately following the very first treatment the wrinkle or blemish is visibly less deep. Because the skin is responsible itself for the formation of collagen, results are long lasting and natural. The skin directly underneath the wrinkle is stimulated into forming new tissue containing regenerated collagen and elastin fibres which plump the area and reduce the appearance of the wrinkle or scar.

The main benefit it has over its competitors’ is that the treatment is so very precise and can treat the smallest of areas specifically targeting the area directly under the wrinkle leaving the surrounding skin untouched.

Elaine Stoddart –Director of Education at Sterex – said: “The idea of a re-launch has been inspired by a delightful aesthetician Sarah Kothari. I trained Sarah in Advanced Electrolysis in 2003 and at the time demonstrated our new treatment ‘BioSkinJetting’ on the training course. Sarah was fascinated at the time but not able to take on another treatment. Throughout the years she never forgot and then herself became a client of another ‘Jetter’. Having tried it out she was so pleased with the treatments results she said that she thought it would be perfect for her clients”.

Sarah Kothari said: “I can’t offer treatments I don’t believe in myself and I think BioSkinJetting by Sterex is simply the best. It has huge advantages over other wrinkle treatments as it is both prescriptive and precise.”

“I enjoy performing highly skilled precise niche treatments which require great skill and dexterity such as electrolysis and so BioSkinJetting is the perfect ‘fit’ for my portfolio. I felt there was a gap in my treatment portfolio as I offer non-surgical face lifting but wanted a more permanent effect. Non-surgical face lifting is great but did not target wrinkles the same way as BioSkinJetting does.”

Sarah has now successfully completed her training and is looking forward to being able to help her clients.

BioSkinJetting from Sterex launches its courses next year with a planned initial four courses in each season.

“We fully expect to put more courses on to cope with the demand,” said Elaine Stoddart. “I am so pleased that Sarah was so persistent. Her enthusiasm in these treatments was infectious and truly inspired us into this re-launch. We have exciting new leaflets and point of sale for the existing ‘jetters’ which number over 100 and are currently building a new section of the website and we confidently expect this to be another overwhelming success story for Sterex. BioSkinJetting will be the next on trend phenomenon.”

Industry Insider: Sterex Lecture at the American Electrology Association Convention

January 28, 2016 by CarlFrascina

The Harley Street Journal followed Sterex to the USA to discover the latest news from the AEA, and hear first-hand from the electrolysis leader why advanced treatments are more in demand than ever – both at home and abroad.

The American Electrology Association (AEA) with over 1,000 members is the largest international non-profit membership organisation for permanent hair removal professionals, with the aim to promote the highest standards in electrolysis education, practice and ethics.

The AEA also champion state licensing and regulation of the professional to protect the public interest.

October 1st 2015 saw the start of a highly successful four day convention held at Bally’s Hotel & Casino right in the centre of Las Vegas next to Caesars Palace and the Bellagio.

This annual convention represents the largest educational gathering of professional electrologists from the USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and Asia.

Many exhibitors supported the convention and showcased their equipment and portfolio of products including Sterex Electrolysis International Ltd, Prestige Electrolysis Supplies, Synoptic Products, The Instantron Company, Clareblend Inc., Aesthetics Systems, Silhouet-Tone, Medspa Distributors, Suzanne Anderer & Co, Hammer Data Systems and the AEA.

To support the AEA and its members Sterex also donated a top of the range SXB epilator as the main prize in a raffle. Laurie Cartmell – Sterex Managing Director – awarded the prize to the lucky winner Athena Martins, Director Canadian Electrolysis College, Vancouver BC Canada.

Elaine Stoddart – Sterex‘s Director of Education & PR – delivered the opening 2 hour lecture alongside colleague Carolyn Claypole, Sterex’s Head Trainer at the convention on the topic of Advanced Needlework. It was their aim to raise awareness of Advanced Electrolysis procedures as the demand rapidly increases within the UK.

The two-hour lecture featured not only blemishes that are safe to treat, but incorporated a section on awareness and the importance of identifying skin cancers.

“Sterex feels strongly about improving knowledge of this subject,” said Laurie Cartmell.

STEREX To Attend CCR Expo in October

July 2, 2015 by CarlFrascina

By Laura Casewell

STEREX – the UK’s leading provider of thermolysis equipment – has announced they will be exhibiting at this year’s CCR Expo in October.

Nicky Burgess, Sales and Marketing Manager for STEREX, says the brand is looking forward to showcasing their unique products and discussing the benefits of themolysis with doctors, surgeons and nurses alike.

“Everyone here at STEREX is delighted to be exhibiting at CCR this year, and hopefully re-educating visitors about the benefits of offering thermolysis within a clinical setting. It’s not just about hair removal like many have been led to believe; our products can also treat various skin issues including thread veins and milia,” Nicky says.

“Many clinics purchase expensive ‘latest craze’ equipment along with a long term leasing plan but to regain that money there has to be a lot of client interest in that particular treatment. We hope to remind visitors that STEREX offers both cost effective products and outstanding training, allowing clinicians to run a successful and safe service.”

Founded in 1982, Birmingham-based STEREX invented the first disposable sterilised two piece electrolysis needle effectively ensuring that electrolysis became a one-use needle treatment. STEREX products of excellence quickly established them as a leading brand and they have steadfastly retained this position, becoming a global name.

“Not content with this, we constantly strengthened our lead by exploring and developing into new avenues including epilation units, products and education,” says Nicky.

“Our product portfolio grew quickly as we gained a vast understanding of the skin and now we offer a comprehensive product range designed especially for the skin both pre and post epilation. We know the CCR Expo visitors will find our services as exciting as we do.”
