Novus Medical Exclusively Distributing Juliet Devices

October 14, 2016 by CarlFrascina

Medical aesthetics company Novus Medical has been announced as the exclusive UK distributor of Juliet: the fast, painless and discreet treatment for intimate women’s health.

Juliet represents a quick, pain-free and minimally invasive treatment for women’s intimate diseases.

Unpleasant symptoms such as vaginal atrophy, stress urinary incontinence, irritation, poor vaginal lubrication, vaginal dryness and even pain during intercourse (dyspareunia) can today be improved thanks to cutting-edge technologies such as the Juliet laser treatment by Asclepion.

The procedure takes just minutes and can be performed without need for anaesthesia, and a notable reduction in many symptoms can be observed immediately after the first treatment.

The Juliet laser treatment is performed using an Erbium:YAG laser that, thanks to its unique technical features, represents the best option to treat such conditions, with very low risk of side effects and minimal down-time.

The objective of the laser treatment is to reach the sub-mucosa, which is elastic and rich in collagen and can be stimulated “selectively”, meaning without damaging the surrounding tissue. Thanks to the special characteristics of its wavelength, the Erbium:YAG is the best option for the selective heating of the target layers (sub-mucosa) and for avoiding any unwanted effect on the surrounding tissue.

The main mechanism of action of the Erbium:YAG technology when performing intravaginal treatments is the achievement of the selective stimulation of the synthesis of sub-mucosal collagen.

The procedure is very easy, yet very precise. The surgeon introduces the handpiece and treats the area by activating the laser beam and rotating the handpiece until a 360° rotation is completed. Then the handpiece is withdrawn 1 cm and the next zone is treated.

The specially designed handpiece, consisting of a stainless steel tube with a quartz window and a gold mirror inside it, allows for an easy insertion and guarantees the maximum hygiene.

The whole procedure takes less than 15 minutes, is not painful and doesn’t involve any cut or surgery.

The Juliet technology can also be upgraded with a number of accessories and additional handpieces, such as the handpiece with 360° reflecting gold-coated cone, featuring a special conic mirror that allows the laser beam to be spread over a 360° angle and the MicroSpot handpiece, allowing the additional treatment of the vestibule and introitus area, as completion of the treatment of Stress Urinary Incontinence.

Director of Novus Medical, Jim Westwood, said:

“The unique technology behind the Juliet makes it one of the most complete laser devices on the market for the comprehensive care of female intimate diseases. The team at Novus Medical is delighted to be able to offer medical and aesthetic professionals another excellent, life-changing device from Asclepion. I welcome the opportunity to demonstrate the Juliet first-hand, and explain the benefits of this new and exciting addition to our portfolio of products.”
