INTRAcel treatment enjoys glowing reviews

By Rosie Wilson

INTRAcel, first launched to the medical world at IMCAS in 2011, is a game-changing, innovative, non-surgical facial treatment, intuitively combining three cutting edge technologies: radio frequency, dermal needling and fractional treatment for total rejuvenation, creating deep dermal tightening, and combining collagen production with transformational changes to the quality of the skin.

INTRAcel ‘uniquely changes skin quality and texture and continues to do so’, offering longevity to its patients. The treatment hails from South Korea, but has recently started to make waves in the UK.

The treatment requires application of a local anaesthetic cream, after which insulated needles are charged with radiofrequency current and applied to the skin, working to stimulate the facial tissue and boost collage production. There is little downtime associated with use of the treatment due to the unique insulated needles, and it boasts immediate results that continue to develop over time.

Leading cosmetic doctors from the UK including Prof Lowe, Dr Rita Rakus, Dr Tracy Mountford, Dr John Curran and Dr Natalie Blakeley are offering INTRAcel to patients, with one saying:

“While expert volumisation can provide fabulous results, the overfull face is definitely not a desirable look. Our patients want beautiful firm skim, and more than ever, advanced treatments, like INTRAcel which uses innovative radiofrequency, are delivering tighter skin, restoring firm, taut skin around the jaw line, under eyes, on the cheeks and forehead [and] improving skin texture and clarity.”

INTRAcel also hopes to prove a rival to traditional technologies like CO2 and lasers in treating post-acne scarring, thanks to its unique needling function.

Amongst its fans is Tatler magazine, who recommended the product back in 2012, saying:

“On paper, the procedure is deeply unnerving: a cocktail of the most daunting (but remember the most effective) cutting-edge technologies, radiofrequency, fractional treatment and needling. Hang on in there, though because this really works and is brilliant at tackling hard-to-hide turkey necks and jowly chins.”
