Speciality Registrar[/one-fourth]


Applications are invited for Specialist Registrar/Speciality Registrar placements in the interface speciality of Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery. These placements are for a period of 4 months commencing 1 February 2014 and 1 June 2014.


There are currently 8 posts available in recognised training centres which have already been granted GMC educational approval.


It is an essential requirement to hold Part One (or equivalent) of the Intercollegiate Speciality Examination at the closing date for application and to hold Full Intercollegiate Speciality Examination at time of appointment.


All applications should be submitted through the Severn Postgraduate Medical Education website from the 22nd of July until the 6th of September 2013. Applications submitted via NHS Jobs will not be considered.


These fellowships are pre-certification (CCT) for their duration. If there is insufficient time for their completion then training will need to be extended. Trainees need to confirm this extension with their Training Programme Director (TPD) prior to the interview and the TPD will need to be one of the referees for the post.


The salary will be at the top end of the current Speciality Registrar/Specialist Registrar pay scale.


These training programmes are open to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train flexibly (part-time).
